Canning with Connie is committed to making food preservation knowledge available to everyone.  By sharing practical skills through classes and at the farmers’ market, Connie helps individuals and families – regardless of background – gain tools to stretch their food dollars, reduce waste, and access nutritious, preserved foods year-round.

Learning to can and preserve food empowers people to take control of what they eat.  Through simple, step-by-step guidance, Connie teaches how to safely preserve fresh fruits and vegetables, helping the community enjoy wholesome, seasonal foods beyond harvest time.

puzzle_dennis

Puzzle Sunday is a free, ongoing community event held at the Kensington Farmers’ Market and is now in its fourth year.

This simple yet meaningful activity fosters connection, conversation, and shared experience among community members of all ages.  Participants are invited to bring puzzles to share or take one home, creating a spirit of generosity and exchange.

In a time when many people feel disconnected.  Puzzle Sundays provides an uplifting and inclusive environment within the market.  It encourages people to slow down, engage with one another, and experience a sense of belonging.
